She’s big, she’s beautiful, and you’re gonna love her! She is Shavonna “B-is-for-Barbie” Brooks!

While standing in her flats, the Burkhart’s blonde-bombshell stands a mere 6-feet-4-inches tall. And her personality and heart are even bigger!

Shavonna’s roots run deep in the heart of nowhere else but Chicago. At just 18 years old, she entered the local Chicago pageant scene guided by her mentor, Victoria LePaige. “She taught me how to be a lady…the elegance of it all.”

Shavonna continued to grow as a performer in Chicago hotspots such as East of The Ryan and Biology. She began refining her craft by taking inspiration from her favorite entertainers and incorporating them into her persona. One her biggest influences, Tahjee Iman, taught her to command the stage while simply being herself.

After arriving in Atlanta in 2006, Shavonna quickly made a name for herself as the hostess at Cowtippers. “I loved the interaction with so many people…it really helped me get my name out there.” She joined the family at Burkhart’s Pub in 2007 and was taken under the wing of the one and only Mary Edith Pitts. “Her encouragement and strict guidance really made me who I am today.”
